Inspiral maths Tuition

Mathematics is a magical, beautiful, creative subject with rules and structures that sometimes need more time and practice than is available during the lessons in mainstream schools.  

At Inspiral Maths Tuition I offer students the chance to explore their maths learning in a safe and supportive environment.  I provide informal maths assessments and structured maths sessions for students with Dyscalculia or general maths difficulties and also provide support to those students who just need a confidence boost. 

We learn best through games and repetition in a playful and relaxed environment, and by removing stress and the worry of making mistakes.   At Inspiral Maths Tuition I help students to find their best learning strategies and build on their skills and strengths.  

I am a fully qualified teacher with a post-graduate specialism in Dyscalculia.   I have been teaching maths for more than 30 years.  

I work online or from my own maths classroom in the village of Heptonstall, West Yorkshire, offering bespoke, one to one tuition.  I am fully insured with a current DBS certificate.

I also deliver maths support in schools.   My work in primary schools gives me a good understanding of the difficulties many children encounter during this crucial early maths stage.  

Although I specialise in the KS1,2 and 3 maths curriculum, I can also support students through their GCSE exams.  I am available to teach adults too and can offer intensive tuition where necessary, during holidays, for example.
